Problem with AT&T cellphone- will they do anything about it?

I have an AT&T Quickfire under the plan AT&T.

Sometimes on my phone, the touch screen does not respond at all. It takes like 10 seconds for it to work again. Other times, when i press one thing, it presses something on the complete opposite side of the screen.

Will AT&T do anything about this, even though its been 30 days since I got it, i have no warranty, and I already turned in a phone before 30 days like 4 months ago?

you have a one year manufacturers warrenty on all phones from ATT, yes theywill replace it

What is so special about the Nielsen ratings company that it should get to keep spyware on others’ computers?

During a free trial of a spyware/adware detection and removal program, I came across a small number of spyware/adware programs that had been installed by different parties on the computer I was using. I successfully removed all of them but one. The one one which I did not remove, came with an advisory not to remove it because it had been placed by a company connected with the Nielsen ratings company and therefore collected valuable information.

I am not all that impressed with the Nielsen ratings company. I furthermore resent claims that it should have exclusive rights to intrusion on the privacy of others.

A local branch of a Nielsen-connected company once placed a bogus phone survey to my home one evening. I traced the call back to their office. The information I inadvertently had given them, I believe, put some people in danger.

Why is this company so special? Much spyware and adware on computers is unwanted and regarded with disdain. I do not like focus groups.

So get rid of it. Just because you get a message suggesting its important doesn’t mean it is. If you dont want to be sending them information, dont. That message is probably just to try and persuade people to leave their spyware alone. If it came bundled with other software, removing it may stop that software from working… but to be honest, any software that contains spyware is not worth using anyway, in my opinion.

That all depends. Monitor your motherboard’s internal temp and make sure it’s not close to the max spec.

Question:

New US Cellular User. Help with info about plans and phones!?

I’m planning on getting added to my Dad’s phone plan. I will make his Single plan a Family Plan. We will be having the National Family Plan, with 700 Anytime Minuets, Unlimited INcoming Calls, Unlimited Mobile to Mobile, and Unlimited Txt.
Us Cellular has ZERO phones that I like, BUT they are getting in the new LG Tritan, which I LOVE and really wanna get. But from all of the reviews I could find on it, everyone is saying that I will HAVE to have some sort of Data Plan. Adding a data plan is not an option for me, I have to help pay for my extra line, and I cant afford any more than what I already have.
So the question is:

Is there ANY way I can get this phone WITHOUT Internet?
I’m getting it because of they Keyboard, I dont want internet on the phone, because I dont need it; I only need texting.
I know people have gotten cracked phones from other providers and used them with theirs and were still able to talk and text, which is all I wanna do (and use the camera & touch screen) is it possible to get the phone from alltel cracked and then just have them activate it?
It seems pointless adn stpid to me that you should be able to just NOT activate the internet for the phone.
one of my friends has a black berry and no internet on it, because he didnt WANT internet on it.

Please tell me if this is at all possible in ANY way.
and if so, please tell me, this is my 1st phone, but im cellphone-illiterate. But any help would be very helpful and greatly appreciated.
The phone is just starting to be released, so I’ll be starting my plan with my dad in a few days or whenever they release the phone. So i need to know ASAP so that If i have to order another phone, then I have time to.

Yea I know US Cellular has pretty suckish phone selection. But the Tritan has to come with the internet package. I know what you mean. I really want that phone but I don’t want the internet but they will still charge you -20 for the internet, weather you use it or not.

It is stupid that they force you to have internet but they do. Yes you can have a phone from alltel unlocked. But I hear it can be expensive. First I would go to a US Cellular store and confirm that it will be able to be unlocked. And if all goes well the USC store then go get a phone from Alltel and tell them you want it unlocked.

USC usually gets new phones every 2 months. (FYI)

Question:

How would I go about connecting two computers in order to share workload?

I only have one processor slot on my motherboard, but I have another computer that is basically stripped of everything useful (DVD drives, ram, etc, etc). All that is left is the hard drive, motherboard and processor, power and the fans. I want to use this computer to share workload with my main desktop. I know I can’t connect the motherboards or processors (Pentium 4s), but I know it is possible to connect the computers somehow.

Unfortunately what you’ve got is not going to work. You can either cluster two whole computers together or you can use specific hardware (motherboards with multiple CPU slots etc). Unfortunately you can’t just bolt bits of your old computer together.

Question about getting a new At&t phone while on at&t contract?

Right now I have the iphone 3gs. I don’t think this phone was made for me. The wifi works half the time in my house. It freezes sometimes and the apps and safari exit out all the time. I don’t know why my phone is doing this. It is maybe 2 weeks old.

I know people always ask which of these two At&t phones should I get. Well hear it goes.

Which should I get the Samsung Impression or the LG Xenon.

Samsung Impression: I had this phone for about a week and I really didn’t like that the physical keyboard was so slow. I was ahead of the phone and when it finished it messed alot of the words. I like the fact that the phones screen is so big, but having an AMOLED screen doesn’t really matter. As long as it lets me see whose calling and lets me read the messages. I like the responsivness of the phoens too.

LG Xenon: I really like the fact that it has flash. I also like the keyboard. I have big fingers but I know I could use it becuase I have used the Pantech Slate and the Blackberry Curve, which they both have smaller keyboards. I like the layout of the menus. The size of the phone is also nice. I like that the texting on the physical keyboard is a lot faster, at least from seeing my sister type on it it keeps up really well with her typing. I don’t know how the touch screen is, I have used it once and it responded well to my fingers.

So which phone should I get?

I have one more question. I will be getting this phone and I would like to get insurance on it. I will be purchasing it Brand New on eBay. Will i be able to add insurance to the phone after I get it?

I think Samsung has a generally better reputation, but from what you describe it sounds like the Xenon would be better for you and your purposes. It is unlikely that you can add insurance to the phone if you purchase from eBay. Too bad your iPhone is not working out for you, I love mine.

Anyone know about this poss. Japanese arcade game Technikin Max?

I recently went to my city’s one arcade (we only have one that is significant) for the first time and played a rhythm music game called Technikin Max or something, and I wish I had pictures but basically there was a screen for others to watch and a large touch screen console that you tapped on to the music beat. It was not a drum game. There were little dot notes and you tapped them or dragged them or held them depending on what they looked like. I’m decently sure it was Japanese, just from the style and from all the art/people in it and the songs. I Googled it but didn’t get very good results, so I’m sure it has a Japanese title that is more well known. Can anyone provide the name, and maybe some info about this arcade game?
