My new laptop arrived courtesy of Dell and Walmart…just one of the perks of being one of Walmart’s Eleven Moms! elevenmoms.com

This is a worlds first video-review of an ARM9 Powered Android Laptop, the PWS700CA by Shenzhen based Hivision, find more info at: hvsco.com It is based on a Rockchip RK2808 600mhz ARM926 processor, 128SDRAM, 7″ 800×480 screen, 720p Video playback support, WiFi, Ethernet, audio input/output and weights only 650grams. The price has not yet been announced officially because Hivision is looking for worldwide distributors of this product, who will then decide how much it will be sold for to end consumers. But you can understand that if Hivision was able to sell those types of laptops for more than a year ago www.youtube.com then surely the price has not gone up since then, at least if you consider what might be the manufacturing costs when this Laptop would be mass manufactured. My guess is that if a giant consumer electronics retailer like Amazon, Walmart or Best Buy approached Hivision to order high quantities of this laptop, it could be sold even below to end users.

Question:
I had one of those awful HP tablets, the kind where the screen would swivel around and lay flat like a tablet and had a stylus and touch screen and it was all very nice until the GPU pooped out in it. I was left with a rather expensive paperweight. I recently purchased a HDD enclosure for the old 2.5″ but when I went to retrieve my files, it said I did not have permission to access the folder.
I’m running Windows 7 on a Dell Inspiron so I’m not surprised that the credentials don’t match. Is there a way to get around this (some sort of credential manager or manipulator) that will allow me to spoof my old credentials or is there a way to boot Vista off the old drive or will it be completely incompatible and freak out on me?
Thanks very much in advance!

http://www.caspianit.co.uk/how-to-take-ownership-of-a-drive-folder-or-file-in-windows-7/
Click on ‘Start ‘ which incidentaly isn’t called Start anymore it’s just the round glowing icon.
In the Run box (the text enrty bit) type CMD – but don’t press the Enter Key! Wait for the CMD icon to appear in the menu above, then right click on it and select Run as Administrator.
When the UAC (panic control) box appears just click Continue.
Now that your command prompt window is open type this: (adapted for your own use)
takeown /f (full path of your file)
In my case because I wanted to take control of my D: drive I typed:
takeown /f d:
Now press Enter.
You should get a message saying that it has completed successfully – this gives you ownership of the file.
Now type:
icacls (full path of file) /grant (your username):F
Press Enter.
In my case I used:
icacls d: /grant mycomputername\simon:F
And away your little system goes re-writing your permissions, you should now have complete control over your files. I had a little padlock in the bottom left of my files and directories which looked ominus, but you only have to click on them or their containing directory and Windows 7 will report that you are now taking full control of this file/directory etc…

Number 3 is the best. 2 is the worst.
Really, they all suck considering they all run something called Windows. Its basically a cheap system for new computers so they can run something. It doesnt do much though. I would say get a Mac, or if your stuck on PCs, get something with the Ubuntu system on it.
