My blackberry phone isn’t working. Help?

Question:

My blackberry phone isn’t working. Help?

I got a Blackberry 8950 I think it is. Its one of those common phones, not the new updated ones with touch screen and all that. Anyway, long story short, I was listening to music when I was getting out of the shower, and I was trying to turn my music from my phone off, and it wouldn’t pause or stop the music. So I’m guessing that the vapor in the bathroom must have affected it. I reset it by taking the battery off then reinserted it, and now, the slider thingy in the center of the phone moves as normal, the image is fine, but when I press down on any of the buttons, it won’t give. I tried the blow dryer trick for like an hour, and nothing. I tried the “bag of rice” trick for exactly 3 days as told to do so, and still nothing. Can anyone suggest maybe a legit trick or possibly a method for it to work again? I been missing alot of important calls, and I’m just desperate as f**k. Just saying “/
I’d appreciate it, thanks!

Is the samsung galaxy apollo a good phone?

Question:

Is the samsung galaxy apollo a good phone?

I’m getting my first smartphone tomorrow. I had an LG rumour, but the keyboard stopped working on it because I was texting so much. I’ve had it for almost two years now… so I’m getting a new phone. I know the one I want, (samsung galaxy apollo) and I ust want to know if it’s a good phone. I’m on a pre-paid plan with telus and it gives me 250mb of data per months and unlimited texting (send and recieve), video and picture messaging. I also have a limited budget (Bank of mom) of 0 so the galaxy apollo is as high as she will go. I have a few questions….
1.) How is the texting on it? I know it’s a touch screen and they can lag sometimes. Since all I do is text, I don’t want to have a crappy keyboard.
2.) Is 250mb enough data? All I really want to use that for is going on facebook and stuff. If I go on facebook once or twice a day or a few minutes with the 250mb of data last me a month?
3.) Is it even a good phone? I’M IN LOVE WITH IT and since you can’t return it after you set it up and turn it on… I don’t want to be left with a sh*tty phone
4.) Camera? It’s like, 3. something mega pixels so that’s pretty good for a phone right?
5.) I’m also getting a micro SD card with 2 gb on it, so that should get me a decent amount of songs. Anyone have a ball park figure for how many songs I can get on it? Also, can I download apps onto the SD card and have the dowloaded apps put into my phone? And, if my phone memory is full, will it save some stuff onto the SD card?

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
Oh, I’m a fifteen year-old girl. Do you think it would be good enough for me?

It depends on what you look for in a phone. If you’re on a budget as you said the Samsung Galaxy Apollo will probably be one of the best you can get. However, I don’t recommend it for a heavy texter. The keyboard is not the best. I had a Samsung Galaxy S 4G. The keyboard was a pain to type on. 250 MB should be enough for you. 3.2 MP is pretty decent. The Galaxy lineup has great cameras and it’s not always the megapixels that matter. I have 500 songs on my phone and it takes up 2.5 GB. So You can probably get about 350-400 songs on 2GB.

Q&A: Cell Phone Opinion. Yes or No?

Question:

Cell Phone Opinion. Yes or No?

I am 16 and currently going to try out for a sport and stay after school and stuff. Do you think I would need a phone. I would only use it to call my folks to pick me up, but no texting would be necessary because I would have no one to text. Currently, we got a Sprint Nextel phone with a noncheap bill. What company would have an affordable plan with and affordable phone. I’m more focused on the cost of the monthly bill than anything else. I don’t need any of the fancy stuff, like texting, a touch screen, Internet, and all those extras that are unnecessary. Just tell me what you think. I think I gave all the information I can possibly give. Oh and to contact my folks I have to use a pay phone, and those are not located in a lot of places anymore, and eats up the coins pretty quickly.

How do I convince my parents to get me a real phone?

Question:

How do I convince my parents to get me a real phone?

I’m 14 and I want a real phone. I just have a retarded chunky Tracfone that was my mom’s. It’s 3/4 of an inch thick! It doesn’t even flip or slide or anything! Plus, I’ve used well over half my minutes in 2 months; they’re supposed to last year. They’re all gonna be gone in a month because I’ll be in high school and get tons of numbers to text (I went to a VERY small school where my graduating class was 9 people)!

We went to Best Buy a couple days ago, and I told my mom I was going to look at the phones. I really want a Samsung Intensity II, but my mom doesn’t understand. She thinks that anything over /month is too expensive. This is why: my dad gets his phone through work so he doesn’t pay, my mom has only had a Tracfone, and I’ve had a Virgin Mobile phone that broke and my mom’s Tracfone.

She wants me to get another Virgin Mobile phone, but I don’t. My dad is in Ohio now so I don’t think he knows what’s going on. How can I convince them to let me get an Intensity II? I can totally pay for some of it. The phone itself only costs a buck, and the plan costs /month. I’m very responsible and an only child so it’s not like they’d have other kids begging for one if I got one.

Also, my friend has a touch screen phone with unlimited text and talk (I don’t know what phone it is though; I only saw it once). She’s the 2nd child (so basically the middle, treated less fair than her bros and sis), her dad’s job is like always in jeopardy, and her mom is very strict and mean. Why can she have a good phone, and I can’t? It’s not that I’m jealous; well, maybe. That’s only because it’s not only her; my other friends (and like everyone else I know) have cool phones too.

I don’t want anyone telling me that I should only use my phone for emergencies or I should be lucky that I even have A phone! Thx!
I already told you guys that I can pay for it!!!!! And yes, I do need a phone!! I’m doing lots of extracurricular things in high school, I’m dating, and of course there are emergencies I need a phone for. Not to mention keeping up wiu my friends!!!!! Don’t you people read?!?!?!?!?!?

Can a blackberry case destroy your phone?

Question:

Can a blackberry case destroy your phone?

I have a blackberry torch 9800 that I bought in April. It has never given problems until last week when I bought a case for it. It’s one of those cases that have two parts: the soft part then the hard part over it. When I put it on my phone, all the buttons stop working (the keypad, the volume button, te camera button, etc.) except the touch screen works. Also, the trackpad does not work. When I take the case off, then reset my phone, it starts back working fine.

I tried to return the case but they said no cash refunds.
So I’d like to know why the case is doing this and is there anyway I can fix it? Any suggestions?

Thanks

(if you dont know how the case Looks, then google ‘otterbox torch case”: that is not the case, but it looks similar to the one I have)

Q&A: at&t phone advice…?

Question:

at&t phone advice…?

so i have at&t apparently.
here are the phones i have had…
1. the sync*
2. crappy phone**
3. lg shine.*
4. razor.**

*- the sync got wet; shine i dropped face down no protector or nothing on concrete

**- replacement phones.

so my upgrade is comin very soon like in 3 days.

and i’m looking at phones.
I’m kind of wanting a touch screen phone but im open to my options.
i’m leaning towards the incite… because i love windows. i understand technology. and i played around with it and i like it. however, i want to be completely sure. also i don’t want the LG Vu so please leave that one out and that fat one i thinkit’s called the propel.
but other than that i’m open to your suggestions..

and please include why i should get the phone you suggest.
and if you have a couple of phones to suggest please compare them.
(please don’t answer it and say “don’t get the incite it sucks, that won’t convince me or dont say “get the iphone” i cant get it and thats that. and please don’t say ” get the (whatever phone)” please explain the pros and cons.

i really appreciate it :) )

if you have the incite please please tell me all the stuff you like and don’t like about it. the too slow part doesn’t bother me its a smart phone what do you expect?

thank you so much :) )

Hi :) I pretty much had all the phones you did besides the sync and the shine, I know how you feel with the Razr (v3xx??) it’s good but it really sucks when you find a better phone. I am looking into the Samsung Eternity or Samsung Impression. I really have my heart set on the impression. It has a slide out keyboard, a touch keyboard, t9 keyboard, and also handwriting recognition. Which is good. The only con is that the lock button is placed on the spring assisted keyboard so if you push it with one hand, the keyboard slides up which i guess could be annoying at times. It’s probably a minor flaw though. It fits in your hand good and the touch screen has haptic feed back and is very good. It’s NOT a smart phone so it runs faster. I love it and it’s 199.99 after mail in rebate. :)

I need help looking for a godo cell phone that suits what I want?

Question:

I need help looking for a godo cell phone that suits what I want?

I would like for the name of a model that suits me. :) This is what I’m looking for in a phone

- Does not need internet to work
- Slide out keyboard for texting!!
- Sorry if this is unclear. Preferably no numbers sticking out in the front. I don’t wish to have dial numbers on the front of the phone
- No Samsungs!!
- Good for texting
- No contracts, though I am with T Mobile and I cannot switch to any other company; so maybe a phone that requires a contract with T Mobile is fine
- Not too expensive
- Can have a touch screen as well, though I don’t really care if it has or doesn’t.
- Not too “out dated”
- Just almost over all good quality

Please help! I seem to not be able to find a good phone that fits my needs :( And I need to find one soon. Thank you all.
