Do anyone own a Dell 924 All in one printer?

The ink was low but there was enough. The power light would just blink. Now the ink is out and it wont even power on. Before it totally lost power it would give an error message that said it coudn’t connect or communicate to the computer using the usb.I have checked the usb cable and power cord and they are in perfect condition. I have restarted my comp and it still doesnt power on. Printer is in perfect condition. Can no ink cause it to just power down?….Thx for any suggestions

I had the same issue with two used Dell 924′s, I never found a resolution, I would try Dell support, if that doesn’t work, you may need a new printer?

I recently got an HP Photosmart D110 Series All-in-one printer and during instilation the printer won’t come up as something that the instilation cd can connect to. I’ve tried pulling the USB in and out, and turning the printer on and off but the computer won’t recognize it. thoughts?

Uninstall the drivers, my friend, and then follow the instructions on the following page.

You should NOT connect your All-in-One Printer until told to do so by the software installation process.

Check out the later HP models on PC World, some good deals on there. And one of the latest network/wireless/usb versions has individual cheap ink cartridges for each colour and they were throwing in a set of all 4 colours free last week. That printer came at £60, but as you would need to fit new cartridges very soon (all printers are supplied with setup cartridges now, almost no ink in them) it really costs about £30 for the printer.

I use a Linksys cable modem / wireless router, serving three different computers in my home. How can I use one printer for all three computers, using the router (if at all possible)?

If your wireless router has CAT5 RJ45 ports and your printer has a card in it, you can use it as a member of your LAN. However, doing it wirelessly? You need a printer with a wireless ethernet card.

How do you share 1 printer on 2 computers?

I have a Dell laptop & a desktop. I want to try to share both computers one printer. How do I do this without always having to use the cord to plug in my computer & the other end in my printer. How do I do all this? What all do I need? Can’t I do this using a crossover cable…if so how?

The two computers have to be connected – router or crossover cable doesn’t matter. they have to be in the same workgroup.

Install the printer on one computer. Share it (right click on it/properties/sharing) Wait about 15 minutes. Then, on the other computer, install a new printer – network printer – browse. Look for the printer on the other computer. Select it. You’ll probably have to pur the CD into that computer too, to load the driver for the printer. You’re done.

my all in one hp f4180 printer wont scan?

our computer was wiped and we cannot find the cd to go with the printer. everything else works but the printer from downloading software from the internet. I really need the scanner to work too…HELP!

To scan an image with Vista…Go to Start…All Programs….Windows photo Gallery….select the File Tab and select Import from Camera or Scanner. It’s a bit slow starting…but it will scan for you.
